For those who love walking and beer, it&#8217;s a combination made in heaven.&nbsp; So how did Jane Herv\u00e9 and Jon Hilton put together six cracking walks &#8211; all involving visits to breweries?&nbsp; The couple have been talking about their much-loved series of ale trails.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"color:#3a2150;font-size:18px\">&#8220;We thought it would be lovely to offer a series of themed walks over the year and after a number of ideas we decided to offer walks ending at a local brewery.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"color:#3a2150;font-size:18px\">We were pleasantly surprised to find there were six in the local area, although the Malt Brewery in Prestwood has since closed after 10 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"536\" src=\"https:\/\/chilternsww.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/beer-logos-collage1-1024x536.jpg\" alt=\"Brewery logos\" class=\"wp-image-1816\" style=\"width:1165px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/chilternsww.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/beer-logos-collage1-1024x536.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/chilternsww.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/beer-logos-collage1-300x157.jpg 300w, https:\/\/chilternsww.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/beer-logos-collage1-768x402.jpg 768w, https:\/\/chilternsww.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/beer-logos-collage1-1536x803.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/chilternsww.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/beer-logos-collage1-2048x1071.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"color:#3a2150;font-size:18px\">The focus was on walking, socialising and supporting the breweries. &nbsp; All the walks have been fun and well received. &nbsp; They ranged from 5 to 10 miles and provided a different experience.<strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group has-white-smoke-background-color has-background\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"color:#3a5c1f\"><strong>Jane and Jon&#8217;s six ale trails<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>PRESTWOOD<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0 7-mile circular walk from Prestwood ending at Malt The Brewery\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>MARLOW<\/strong>&nbsp; 5 miles from Pump Lane, Little Marlow ending at the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.rebellionbeer.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Rebellion Brewery<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>COOMBE HILL<\/strong>&nbsp;&nbsp; 6 and 10-mile walks returning for a picnic on the hill drinking beer from the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/chilternbrewery.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Chiltern Brewery<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>MAPLE CROSS<\/strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;9-mile walk returning to the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/creativejuicesbrewingcompany.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Creative Juices Brewery<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>LONG CRENDON<\/strong>&nbsp; 10-mile walk from Long Crendon visiting the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.xtbrewing.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">XT Brewery<\/a>&nbsp;at Notley Abbey<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>TRING<\/strong>&nbsp; One of our group rather sheepishly presented his Kylie Minogue greatest hits album fearing it might be dismissed as &#8220;uncool&#8221;, but the DJ turned out to be a fellow Kylie fan and loved it!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"color:#3a2150;font-size:18px\">The offer of a 6 or 10-mile walk from Coombe Hill provided much amusement and discussion but all went well. Luckily we hadn\u2019t lost anyone when the groups came back together for the picnic on the hill.&nbsp; It was great fun and the shared food was fabulous.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\" id=\"wp-block-themeisle-blocks-image-def74a7e\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"577\" src=\"https:\/\/chilternsww.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/rebellion-1024x577.jpg\" alt=\"Rebellion Brewery\" class=\"wp-image-1818\" style=\"width:1165px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/chilternsww.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/rebellion-1024x577.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/chilternsww.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/rebellion-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/chilternsww.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/rebellion-768x432.jpg 768w, https:\/\/chilternsww.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/rebellion-1536x865.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/chilternsww.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/rebellion-2048x1153.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"color:#3a2150;font-size:18px\">The Rebellion Brewery tap yard was the perfect place to relax after our Marlow walk with a lively party vibe.&nbsp; It&#8217;s certainly the biggest brewery we&#8217;ve visited.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"color:#3a2150;font-size:18px\">After a longer walk by the canal and through open countryside, the Creative Juices Brewery near Maple Cross offered beer, tea and cake, catering for all needs.&nbsp; There was also an artist on site and a carpenter.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"color:#3a2150;font-size:18px\">Our 10-mile Long Crendon walk started slightly damp under foot and only got worse.
